AutoCompletion
The AutoCompleteBox helps users to enter text by suggesting possible matches. The user can use the arrow keys or mouse to select a match rather than typing the entire entry by hand.
To determine what suggestions are shown, set the SuggestionsSource property. AutoCompleteBox supports two kinds of source:
- A collection of strings. You can set SuggestionsSource to any class that implements IEnumerable<string>. The AutoCompleteBox will display strings in your collection that start with the user’s current input.
- An IAutoCompleteSuggestionProvider. You can set SuggestionsSource to any class that implements IAutoCompleteSuggestionProvider. Implement the GetSuggestions method to tell the AutoCompleteBox what to display for any given input. You can use this to implement, for example, file system suggestions.
